A Universal Basic Income policy designed to protect New Zealanders from AI job displacement, The Prosperity Deal is structured around one core idea: if machines are doing more of the work, people need more of the security. It includes:

• A universal income floor, with supplementary tiers for civic, care, and cultural contribution

• Legally entrenched protections to ensure the policy can’t be dismantled in a single election cycle

• Treaty-based co-governance and community contribution panels to protect fairness and cultural integrity, and

• A full fiscal model, rollout strategy, and legal scaffolding—built to scale.
